Matching Gifts

Matching Gifts is designed to maximize the amount of money received from companies who match donations from individuals. This is an essential management tool that will enable you to increase your matching gift income.

Maximizes Net Revenue

  • Segments donors who are connected to a matching gift company.
  • Provides a means of selecting and soliciting matching gift donors when they have signified that their pledges will be matched yet have failed to send in their forms.
  • Appends more than one company match to the same pledge as in the case of a husband and wife whose employers both matched.
  • Calculates the age of the pledge in months to monitor the timeliness of the matching pledge.
  • Automatically creates a relationship during data entry if no prior relationship exists. This maintains a donor base to solicit for future matching gifts.

Retains Valuable Information

  • Stores information on matching gift company accounts within the same database. Therefore, all features available in the Fundraising system are available for this module.
  • Stores the company’s maximum match amount per year, per person and per campaign.
  • Maintains a relationship between the company and all the individuals they match.
  • All matched pledges are stored in both the company and individual records.
  • Interfaces to its own general ledger accounts and prints audit trails that allow it to flow in parallel with other affiliations within the system such as membership.
  • Links all matches with the original member gift. When you display a member’s gift, all linked matches for that gift will show the matching company identification number, the original match amount, the paid amount, the date the matching form was processed and the current status of the match.
  • Retains all matching gift history even if the donor no longer works for a matching gift company.
  • Interfaces with the Allegiance Appended Data module allowing you to append additional customized data.
  • Generates reports, such as aging reports, fulfillment reports, and matching gift member reports, enhancing your ability to analyze matching gift income trends, fulfillment of matching gifts and lifetime giving of companies.

Enhances Customer Service

  • Indicates whether the matching gifts company requires forms and if you have the forms in stock.
  • Allows you to send the matching form to qualified donors so they don’t have to request one from their company.
  • Displays an on-screen inquiry of the matching gift companies and the donors for which they have provided matches.
  • Displays on-screen inquiry of the donor indicating which company or companies have provided matching gifts.
  • Provides each company with a distribution list containing all of the member pledges matched with the company’s gift.
  • Generates acknowledgements to both the matching gift company and the donor.
  • Displays fair market value of any premiums a donor receives to allow for adjustments in tax-deductible amounts.
