Allegiance systems have been designed to run on Windows™ or IBM™ AS/400 machines. Allegiance products will also support Microsoft™ SQL Server 2000+.
For an AS/400 configuration, call Mark Jensen at (800) 858-7654.
Multiple stations may use either VPN (Virtual Private Network), Terminal Services, or Remote Desktop to access a shared server. Terminal Services requires Windows™ 2000 or 2003 Server software. For best results with VPN, we recommend a hardware-based BPN solution (such as a Cisco VPN router). Because of the large amount of data that needs to travel between the server and the client, we recommend a remote terminal solution rather than VPN, however, as the performance will be much better.
The following specs are the minimum recommended specification. It is possible to use hardware with lower specs, but performance may be an issue. You should also take into consideration network bandwidth, number of client machines, and expected server load when determining the hardware you need. To discuss specific needs and hardware scenarios, please call us at (800) 858-7654.
